March Favourites

Wow! I haven't posted a blog post in a year and a half! Where have I been? I have been busy working... ya girl now has 2 jobs! I can write a blog post to discuss about what Ive been up too etc.

Anyway, this month I have found some products that I have really loved and thought I would share.

Bondi Sands - 1 HOUR EXPRESS

First up, Bondi Sands. I LOVE THIS BRAND. I have used this brand of fake tan for years, I always used the medium to dark lotion but a few months ago they released a new tan. 1 HOUR EXPRESS! It sounds too good to be true. Not only myself but the majority of my friends fake tan days before we are meant to be going on a night out. We have even used the excuse of 'I haven't tanned' when someone suggests a last minute night out. Well, now there are no excuses!

Applying the tan was easy as pie, it has a foam consistency and it comes out SO dark which is scary at first but it makes it easy to apply it because you know where you have and haven't fake tanned. So on the bottle, it says '1-hour express tan' but  I wasn't happy with the colour after the first hour, instead I left it on over night, roughly 9 hours. 9 hours was maybe too long but I was impressed with the result once I had washed it off. I feel so confident wearing it that during the week whilst at work I no longer wear foundation.

Price:£18.99

The price is a bit steep but as I have used Bondi Sands before I was happy enough to spend that much on the product. Also, this is one of the cheapest 'fast tanning' products I have seen that are sold in Super drug and Boots.

Laila London - Activated Charcoal tooth whitening powder

I have tried SO many different tooth whitening products in the past year or two and I have previously spoken about it in a blog post. I've come across a few fairly good products but at the time of using those products, I was unaware of the dangers in using them. Certain chemicals within toothpaste etc that strip the enamel. Now, I am not by no means saying that using activated charcoal is much better BUT I have been using this product for roughly 1 month and I have already seen a HUGE difference.

I had done some major research in using activated charcoal on teeth and a few sources have said NOT to brush harshly on your teeth when you have the powder on your brush and not to use it every day.

Following their advice, I only use the powder once every 2 or 3 days and I use it at the end of the night and I brush very slowly. I have noticed such a huge difference and I would honestly advise anyone who has had trouble with whitening products to try Laila London activated charcoal powder.

Looking at the charcoal powder you are probably thinking it would taste disgusting! It absolutely doesn't, it doesn't have a taste to it at all! Which is the main reason I use it at a night time because it doesn't freshen up your breath although damn! It leaves your teeth feeling super squeaky clean!

Price; £10 (I got mine for £7 in Boots as it was on discount)

For £7 I really cannot complain, it does its job and again like the fake tan it has helped me build up confidence. I have spoken before about being super uncomfortable with my teeth but slowly and surely this product is helping me.

Benefit Bad Gal BANG mascara

I have always been a fan of Benefit and especially a fan of their BAD GAL mascara, I had a small travel sized version and a normal standard version so I could take it with me where ever I went. You know when you see a ton of publicity by YouTubers etc and they are promoting a product and part of you is amazed by how amazing the product is that they are showing yet the other part of you is flooding your brain with questions. That was me with this mascara, HOW does it make your lashes look so long? NO CLUE but it really does work. It explains its self. Just look at the difference!

YAS for BIGGER and badder lashes!
Price: £21.50

Lash FX Magnetic Lashes

I struggle SO much with applying fake eyelashes, the number of times I apply the glue and then fiddle with putting them on my eyelash and then the glue dries and turns the whole eyelash strip a gooey mess! THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!

A few months ago I see a Snapchat news story post about 'Lash FX' and their magnetic eyelashes. My first thoughts were these have to be a gimmick because how on earth will they stay on your actual lashes? I have had these lashes since January and I had been planning to write a whole entire blog post around these lashes but instead of 'dry Jan' I had a very 'dry Feb' and I had no reason to wear these lashes out. But this month I have worn them every weekend.

Application; To be completely honest they are very fiddly the first few times that you apply them but once you get the grip on how to apply them the easier they are to apply. The fact that they don't have any glue on them means that you can attempt 16584849 times and not fear of any glue drying up and ruining your eyeshadow.

The style: I chose the Rosie lashes, I messaged Lash FX on Instagram before purchasing and I asked them what lashes are best for me as I cant wear long lashes due to wearing glasses and they advised Rosie and they are one of the few natural looking lashes.

Price: £18.95

Now you do only get one pair of lashes for that price but as they are so unique and I have not yet found any stores that sell magnetic lashes.

I would love to do a video on the magnetic eyelashes so please let me know if you would be interested in this!

Thank you so much for reading and I will be sure to post a lot more!

Take care,
